	In the Springtime (continued)                                            45 There is a slig-ht pause or break in the tremolo (not in the time) at the end of the fourth meas- ure, but that at the end of the eighth measure is more noticeable. These are comparable to a comma and a semi- colon. All stops of the tremolo (see fifth measure) are to be made as previously explained.
	The Tremolo in 2/4 Time The following Example illustrates the manner of stopping the tremolo in 2/4 time and also which notes are to be tremoloed. The first two measures are of course exactly alike in effect,the up stroke ending the tremolo exactly with the beginning of the second beat, while in the third measure the tremolo (which is stopped between the notes for the purpose of accent) stops on the "and" in each case, as it does in the fourth measure. This illustrates the correct manner of playing Marches, One Steps,Polkas, Galops,etc, most of which are written in 2/4 time.
